The Dangers of Bad Oral Health

Osteoarthritis

With all the amazing beaches, nature, great food and things to do, Thailand is one of my favorite spots for a vacation. I hope this guide can help you go experience Bangkok for some street photography too. Bangkok has become a hotbed of top talent in the street photography genre. Thailand in general is full of street photographers, but Bangkok, being the biggest city, attracts a number that rivals many of the most famous cities in the genre. You have locals like Tavepong Pratoomwong, Rammy Narula, and Akkara Naktamna, but you also have expats like Maciej Dakowicz and Larry Hallegua.

Bad oral health can have serious consequences for your overall well-being. Poor dental hygiene can lead to a variety of issues, including cavities, gum disease, and even tooth loss. Neglecting your oral health can also increase your risk of developing other serious health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections.

A tooth can crack or break from an injury to the mouth, chewing hard foods, or grinding the teeth at night. You should visit your dentist right away if you’ve cracked or broken a tooth. Your dentist might tap or scrape at your teeth with various tools or instruments to assist with a diagnosis. A technician at the dentist’s office will take dental X-rays of your mouth, making sure to get an image of each of your teeth.

Effects on Your Mouth

“Oil pulling helps reduce chances of gingival infection due to medicinal benefits of the natural oils,” says Dr Sengupta. According to this study published in Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, oil pulling, when it is done in the right way, can actually help in improving oral hygiene. However, it adds that this technique can in no way replace your visit to the dentist.

They’re also 4.5 times as likely to need to be put on a ventilator and nine times as likely to die from COVID. Tobacco products have been proven to increase the risk of gum disease and oral-related cancers. At the same time, cigarettes, snuff and chewing tobacco can also cause permanent stains and promote tooth loss. Smoking also causes bad breath and can even diminish your sense of taste.

When you don’t take care of your teeth and gums, bacteria can build up in your mouth and cause plaque to form. This can lead to cavities and gum disease, which can be painful and expensive to treat. If left untreated, these issues can progress to more serious conditions like periodontitis, which can result in irreversible damage to the gums and bones that support your teeth.

Impact on Overall Health

These are just a few names of many, as there are multiple collectives full of Thai street photographers. Some other popular local street photographer advice given to me was to take a weekend trip to Pattaya for a change of scene. And it was good enough advice to pass along to you because a change of scene it definitely is. It’s not for everybody, but for street photographers, it provides plenty of characters and interest.

It’s not just your mouth that suffers when you have bad oral health. The bacteria from gum disease can enter your bloodstream and travel to other parts of your body, causing inflammation and increasing your risk of developing chronic diseases. Studies have shown a link between poor oral health and conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections. Taking care of your teeth and gums is essential for maintaining good overall health.
